Red Wolf

The red wolf is the world's most endangered wolf. Once common throughout the Eastern and South Central United States, red wolf populations were decimated by the early 20th century as a result of intensive predator control programs, as well as the degradation and alteration of the habitat that the species depends upon.

You may be wondering what could be so cool about red wolves. Well, first off, they are not just any wolf; they are in fact red! Their fur is a reddish-brown fur that almost makes them look like they are wearing a superhero cape.

Red wolves are not just cool to look at; they have a really important jump to do. They act as the cleanup crew in the forest. They help keep everything in balance. Red wolves eat small animals and deer to help the plants grow and keep everything in perfect shape. So they are the superheroes of the forest. Their vocalizations are a cross between a coyote and a gray wolf.
